The Offensive Rookie of the Year Nominees
Felix Pahl

The ELF Honors will take place at PALM Beach in Stuttgart on the evening before the European League of Football Championship Game 2025. On this night, the league will celebrate the very best of the season across 13 categories, honoring outstanding players, coaches, and performances.
One of these categories is the Offensive Rookie of the Year Award. This award is given to the best first-year offensive player. The winner has made a big impact on the field, showcasing great skills, effort, and potential throughout the season.
Eligibility: Any offensive Homegrown or E-Import player in his first season in the ELF, not older than 23 at the time of the Championship Game. (To be eligible in 2025, the player must be born on or after September 8th, 2001).
Here are this year’s nominees:
Tyler Foster, Wide Receiver - Berlin Thunder
The Berlin Thunder added one of their brightest young homegrown talents in Tyler Foster, and the 20-year-old wide receiver immediately showed what he is capable of. Foster became a reliable target for his quarterbacks, finishing the season with 64 catches for 824 yards and 7 touchdowns.
One of his best performances came against the tough Munich Ravens defense in Week 6, where he recorded 15 receptions for 147 yards, constantly finding space and proving to be the go-to option for his team. Foster’s explosiveness and talent made him one of the top rookie receivers in the league.
Justus Seelig, Running Back - Madrid Bravos
At just 20 years old, Justus Seelig joined the Madrid Bravos shortly before the season started. Despite his young age, he quickly became a big-play threat in Andrew Weidinger’s offense. His performances have already drawn attention from Division 1 colleges in the United States.
Even with an injury that sidelined him for a period, Seelig shined in only 9 games, rushing 74 times for 513 yards while also becoming a dangerous receiving option for quarterback Reid Sinnett with 42 receptions for over 500 yards. In total, Seelig scored 9 touchdowns, proving his value as one of the most versatile rookies in the ELF.

Chrisman Kyei, Running Back - Hamburg Sea Devils
The Hamburg Sea Devils also had a rookie standout on offense. Chrisman Kyei, only 20 years old, made a name for himself as one of the league’s top young running backs. Over 12 games, he rushed for 847 yards and 5 touchdowns, finishing among the Top 5 rushers in the ELF.
Kyei also contributed in the passing game, catching 29 passes for 188 yards and 1 touchdown, underlining his all-around ability. His consistency and production made him a cornerstone of Hamburg’s offense in his first season.
Bright future of ELF offense
The Offensive Rookie of the Year Award highlights the young stars who have already left their mark in their very first season. With Foster’s reliability in Berlin, Seelig’s explosiveness in Madrid, and Kyei’s power and versatility in Hamburg, the future of ELF offenses looks brighter than ever. On the night before the Championship Game, one of them will be honored at the ELF Honors – but all three have proven that they are names to watch for years to come.
