The MVP Nominees

Hot week in the ELF. In addition to the champion in the final, the MVP of the 2024 season will also be chosen. Some players can single-handedly decide games. They are of great value to their team - they are the most valuable players in the European League of Football.

Three candidates have crystallized throughout the season. They have influenced the game in very different ways. For the honors, they want to follow Jadrian Clark. The Rhein Fire quarterback secured the prestigious award last season.

Rhein Fire Running Back - Glen Toonga

If you search for influential ELF stars, you quickly stumble across one name: Glen Toonga. The British running back has been running for yards and touchdowns in the ELF for three years. In each of these he has been a factor. This season, too, he is carrying the offense of finalist Rhein Fire in a dominant way. In the end, he achieved 1576 rushing yards and 30 touchdowns in 256 rushes. In addition, he had 214 receiving yards and one touchdown - MVP numbers.

Paris Muskeeters Quarterback - Zach Edwards

Paris quarterback Zach Edwards can also look back on this one. The dual-threat dominated his Musketeers' game and led them to their first playoff appearance in franchise history - and how. Edwards is everywhere on the field, throwing 207 passes for 3057 yards and 34 touchdowns. But that's not all, Edwards also beats teams on the ground. Here he rushes for 792 yards and eight touchdowns. Edwards definitely has the biggest impact on the Paris Muskeeters, but also in the ELF?

Berlin Thunder Defensive Tackle - Kyle Kitchens

Only an offensive player can be MVP? Defensive tackle Kyle Kitchens might see it differently. The defender at least has a big impact on the opposing quarterback. Kitchens impressively leads the ELF in sacks. He brought the opposing quarterback to the ground 16.5 times. He also had 25 tackles for loss, one interception, one pass break up, four forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries, one of which even led to a touchdown. MVP numbers are not just for the offense.
