Surge-OFC-United: The First Official Fan Club in the European League of Football

In the heart of Europe, American Football has been making its mark, captivating sports enthusiasts and forging passionate fan communities. One such devoted fan club that has emerged with unwavering support for their team is Surge-OFC-United. Founded in 2021, just before the first European League of Football season, this fan club has become an integral part of the burgeoning American Football scene in Germany. 

A humble beginning and united growth

Surge-OFC-United's journey began in 2021 when founder Nader El-Abed, driven by a deep passion for American Football, gathered a group of seven like-minded individuals to create the first official fan club for Stuttgart Surge in the European League of Football. Over time, the fan club has grown significantly, boasting well over 100 members today. Surge-OFC-United thrives on its united spirit, symbolized by its name. The acronym "OFC" stands for official fan club, signifying their distinction as the pioneering fan club of Stuttgart Surge.

More than just fans: A family bond

For the members of Surge-OFC-United, American Football is more than a sport—it's a way of life. The fan club has evolved into a family that fosters an environment of camaraderie and belonging. Behind the scenes, Surge-OFC-United operates as a well-structured organization. Comprising a board, a committee, and numerous passionate supporters, the fan club coordinates actions, ensuring seamless functioning and efficient operations. Official tailgating events before home games and fan gatherings further reinforce their sense of unity and excitement. Beyond the game, Surge-OFC-United emphasizes the importance of creating lasting friendships and building bridges with other fan clubs, exemplified by their cherished fan friendship with the Legion of Jupp, the first official fan club of the Cologne Centurions.

Respect all, fear none: A motto to live by

The core values of Surge-OFC-United are succinctly captured in their motto: "Respect all, fear none." The fan club embodies sportsmanship, respecting other teams while displaying unwavering fearlessness in their support for their beloved Surge. As the first official fan club in the European League of Football, Surge-OFC-United takes pride in being a role model. They extend support and assistance to other fan clubs, demonstrating that they are not "ultras" in the traditional sense. Instead, they celebrate their players and create a vibrant and inclusive atmosphere that embraces all fans, embodying the belief that football is family.

Aiming high: Sporting goals

As ardent supporters, Surge-OFC-United dreams big for their team. After a rough season for the Surge last year (with zero wins) they now aspire to see the Stuttgart Surge reach the playoffs in the current season. Their unwavering dedication to the team drives them to believe in their potential and accomplishments on the field.
