Homegrown wide receiver Harlan Kwofie delivered a historic performance in Rhein Fire’s 69–7 victory over Berlin Thunder. The 26-year-old scored six receiving touchdowns in the first half, setting a new single game record for receiving touchdowns in the European League of Football.
Kwofie recorded 154 yards on 9 receptions. His performance should also please quarterback Chad Jeffries, who completed 22 of 24 passes for over 300 passing yards and eight touchdowns before halftime. With a comfortable 52-0 lead at halftime, Rhein Fire changed their game plan during the break and rested Jeffries and Kwofie for the final two quarters.
