Stuttgart Surge re-sign quarterback Reilly Hennessey

Despite rumors about a potential retirement floating around over the last couple of months, Reilly Hennessey will return for a second season with the Stuttgart Surge. The 28-year-old is coming off a great season which ended with a dramatic Championship Game loss against the Rhein Fire.

Even though Hennessey missed multiple games due to a hand injury, the Surge’s signal caller was among the best quarterbacks in the ELF when healthy. He completed 63.73% of his passes for 1679 yards and 14 touchdowns with only three interceptions, while also rushing for 211 yards and six touchdowns. His terrific performances continued throughout the post-season in which he threw for almost 1100 yards and 11 touchdowns.

With Hennessey back on board and his favorite weapons already signed, Jordan Neuman’s team has a real shot at making it back to the Championship Game and winning it all in 2024.
