Stuttgart Surge have re-signed the contract of Italian-German linebacker Nikolas Knoblauch. Knoblauch, who is also known by the surname "Suppa" in Italy, has experienced some ups and downs with the Stuttgart Surge in the last few years, being under contract in 2022 and 2023. When he was signed by the Stuttgart Surge in 2022, he had to end the season early due to an injury. From the sideline, Knoblauch then saw a miserable season, with 12 defeats.

Remaining loyal

He remained loyal to the Surge in the following 2023 season and, after a very successful season, reached the European League of Football final in September. Knoblauch, also being a Champion in year one with the Galaxy, had 31 tackles, two sacks and 12 tackles for loss in 12 games of the regular season in 2023. After a loss to the Rhein Fire, Knoblauch now returns to the southern German city: "There is only one goal: to bring the trophy to Stuttgart in 2024!" he said.
