Stuttgart Surge extend head coach Jordan Neuman

It was just a matter of time! The Stuttgart Surge have extended the contract with head coach Jordan Neuman in a long term deal. Neuman helped the Surge to reach the Championship Game in his first year with the team, after the franchise's devastating two first seasons.

"The foundation that has now been created"

"A long-term contract is all about stability and continuity, which I believe is crucial for any program to be successful in the long term. I am very much looking forward to continuing to build on the foundation that has now been created and to show that last season was just the beginning. We've only just begun!" said Neuman in the press release.

The big turnaround

After going 2-20 in the first two seasons in the European League of Football, the Surge hired Jordan Neuman and his staff from the GFL team Schwäbisch Hall Unicorns, where he previously helped to build up a power house. The US-American had been in Europe since 2005, working for the Unicorns and Vienna Vikings under now head coach Chris Calaycay.

While 17 teams from all over Europe are trying to reach the final in Gelsenkirchen in 2024, the Surge under Jordan Neuman is definitely a force to be reckoned with.
