So much experienced and still ready for more - Sea Devils re-sign Levi Kruse

The fans of the Hamburg Sea Devils can expect to see Levi Kruse again next season. The team has extended the contract with the tight end for another year.

"In the past four years, I've experienced everything here - successes, challenges and changes. The first two years were strong," remembers Kruse. In their first two seasons in the ELF, the Hamburg team reached the Championship Game. They missed the titel narrowly on both occasions.

"Then came a period where we lost a bit of momentum, but that's part of the journey," explains Kruse. The Sea Devils missed out on the playoffs both in 2023 and last season. The player wants to change that.

"Now is the time to turn things around. It's time for a fresh start,” he says. Success or defeat, the 27-year-old will stay on board. He has a clear goal: "We will put Hamburg back on the map stronger than ever."

GM Weitz: "Levi is much more than just a player for us"

General Manager Mark Weitz emphasizes the importance of the contract extension: "Levi is much more than just a player for us - he embodies the values of the team and is known for his dedication and leadership. His experience and dedication are invaluable to the Sea Devils' success."

With the contract extensions of Kruse and kicker Eric Schlomm, important foundations have been laid for next season, and the Sea Devils are looking ahead with motivation to finally bring the long-awaited title to Hamburg.
