Saturday’s Top Performer: Sandro Platzgummer
Felix Pahl

What a game — and what a performance from Sandro Platzgummer. The Austrian former NFL running back showed all of his talent in Frankfurt Galaxy’s big win over the Madrid Bravos.
Platzgummer rushed for an incredible 248 yards, running past defenders all night long. With an average of 13.78 yards per carry, he was gaining a first down almost every time he touched the ball. He also scored two touchdowns, including a game-winning 88-yard run late in the fourth quarter — proving once again that he can deliver big plays in key moments.
A breakout after a quiet week 1
In Week 1, Platzgummer already showed flashes of his skill, but the game situation made it hard for Frankfurt to stick with the run. Against Madrid, however, he was the clear star of the offense.
Looking ahead to Week 3 against the Paris Musketeers, Platzgummer will again be a key part of the Galaxy’s game plan. If he can keep this level of performance, Frankfurt has a strong chance to celebrate their second win in a row.
