Saturday recap: Enthroners celebrate first victory

Fehérvár Enthroners (1-6) at Prague Lions (0-8) 38-6

In the early window of Saturday's matchups, the Prague Lions hosted the Fehérvár Enthroners. Both teams were looking for their first win of the season, with the Enthroners coming out on top, securing a comfortable 38-6 victory.

The Enthroners set the tone early in the game, scoring on the first drive. Quarterback Jack Mangel stood out in particular. The veteran took care of the football, spreading it out to six different receivers in the passing game. Time and again, he cracked the Lions defense with deep passes. Mangel finished the day with 373 passing yards and three touchdowns without throwing an interception.

The Lions could not keep up, as they were unable to get the necessary consistency into their passing game. Some promising plays were followed up by drops, misscommunications or inaccuracies, ending a couple of drives and digging the hole deeper for Prague. Quarterback David Perkins completed 17 out of 36 passes for 194 yards and threw an interception. In the end, the quality of the passing game made the difference, as both teams could not get much going on the ground.

Next week, the Enthroners will host the Milano Seamen, the Prague Lions will be on a bye week.
