Sandro Platzgummer suffering season-ending injury against Stuttgart Surge

The worst fears of the Raiders have unfortunately come true: Sandro Platzgummer suffered a serious injury in the 03:06-defeat against the Stuttgart Surge.  The running back will likely be out for the rest of the 2023 European League of Football season with a torn cruciate ligament and a meniscus injury. At 26 years-old, he made his debut in Europe's top football league in the Raiders Tirol home game against the Barcelona Dragons just a week ago.

Sandro Platzgummer struggles with his injury: "Unfortunately, my season didn't start as I had imagined, as I already missed the first games due to an injury I picked up in training. With the cruciate ligament tear now, the season is finally over. I wish the team and the fans good luck for the rest of the season! I will now support the team from the sidelines! Go Raiders!"

The Raiders must now consider using Bonatti and Haslwanter as running backs even more.
