Rhein Fire win – Raiders eliminated from playoff race

In the final game of Week 13, Rhein Fire secured a victory against a direct rival in the playoff race. The defending champions won clearly, finally ending the playoff hopes for the Raiders Tirol.

Raiders Tirol (5-6) at Rhein Fire (7-4): 24-34

The defending champions showed their efficiency early in the first half. Although the offense led by quarterback Chad Jeffries was only on the field for ten minutes, they went into halftime leading 20-17.

After the break, Rhein Fire extended their lead significantly, going up 34-17 at the beginning of the final quarter. This was once again thanks to the outstanding connection between Chad Jeffries and his homegrown receiver Harlan Kwofie. The Raiders fought hard in the final minutes and managed to close the gap, but it wasn’t enough to turn the game around.

Next weekend marks the end of the ELF 2025 regular season. With today’s defeat, the Raiders lost their third game in a row and are eliminated from playoff contention. In Game Week 14, they will host the Cologne Centurions – a good chance for the team to finish the season with a victory. 

Rhein Fire also have a home game, welcoming their former quarterback Jadrian Clark and his new team, Nordic Storm, in a divisional matchup that will be crucial in the fight for the remaining playoff spots. The good news for Rhein Fire is that with a 7-4 record, they now have full control over their playoff chances.
