Rhein Fire re-sign starter Flamur Simon

Rhein Fire fans can look forward to watch Flamur Simon in action next season. The linebacker has signed a new contract with the current ELF champions.

Simon therefore is facing his fourth season in the league. The 25-years-old homegrown spend his first year with the Cologne Centurions, followed by two successful years with Rhein Fire. As a starter Simon had major impact on Fires Game, earning them two Championship titles in a row.

Simon overall played 32 ELF Games, recording 218 tackles, including 29 for loss and nine sacks. He also recovered two fumbles and recorded eight pass deflections and four interceptions.

Fire is therefore able to keep a key part of their defense.
