Rhein Fire extend Jim Tomsula and US-coaching staff

Now, it is official. The Rhein Fire have extended the contracts of head coach and Coach of the Year winner Jim Tomsula, while also giving him the title of "President" for the development of the whole organization.

As stated by the franchise, Tomsula will also help in advisory capacities on economic issues, working together with General Manager Max Paatz. With the first step working towards 2024, the team has also announced the re-signing of both offensive coordinator Andrew Weidinger and defensive coordinator Richard Kent.

Stability on offense and defense

While Andrew Weidinger, former Barcelona Dragons head coach and Assistant Coach of the Year 2023, lead an offense being 1st in total offense and 1st in passing, with quarterback Jadrian Clark playing an exceptional year. Richard Kent, who worked with the Leipzig Kings before joining Rhein Fire, is heading into his second year with the team, ranking his defense 6th in total defense and 3rd in points allowed.

"Rhein Fire is proud and happy that they were able to sign all US-Coaches of the 2023 season again for the upcoming year and thus can offer the players of Rhein Fire again a unique quality of coaches", said the franchise in a press release.
