Rhein Fire enters into cooperation with NFL team Seattle Seahawks
Ahead of the clash with the Vienna Vikings in the Championship Game 2024 of the European League of Football on Sunday (Kickoff: 3.30 pm CET) at the VELTINS Arena of FC Schalke 04 in Gelsenkirchen, Rhein Fire officials have announced a partnership with the Seattle Seahawks from the National Football League (NFL).
"This is great news, which of course has a positive effect on our entire league. What's good for one of our teams is good for the ELF. It's a great signal that the European League of Football is also being recognized and taken seriously in the USA. Perhaps this first partnership between an ELF and an NFL team will serve as a model for other franchises in both leagues", says ELF Commissioner Patrick Esume.
As part of their cooperation, the organizations will work together on a number of activities in Germany. The Seahawks will be present at all Rhein Fire home games in the European League of Football, and Rhein Fire protagonists will also appear at Seahawks events. The Seahawks and Rhein Fire are also committed to promoting their sport by organizing joint courses and tournaments. The partnership with Rhein Fire is part of the Seahawks' strategy to expand their activities in Germany as part of the NFL's Global Markets Program.
"The Seahawks and Rhein Fire are both known for their passionate and loyal fans. Directly supporting American football in Germany helps to attract fans to the sport as a whole. We look forward to working with Rhein Fire to develop exciting and innovative programs for our mutual fans while reaching new audiences”, said Isabelle Van Coevorden, Director of International for the Seattle Seahawks.
"We are honored and excited to be working closely with the Seattle Seahawks, one of the NFL's most recognizable and successful teams. This partnership will allow us to share valuable expertise in the areas of fan engagement, marketing and PR. Together, we want to further promote the sport and create new, exciting opportunities and experiences for the German football community”, said Max Paatz, General Manager of Rhein Fire.
