Reunion! Frankfurt Galaxy sign A-import Terry Wright

Frankfurt Galaxy have filled their third A-import spot with Terry Wright. The 27-year-old wide receiver brings a wealth of American football experience with him to Germany.

“Terry was Coach Andrus' preferred candidate at the WR position from the very beginning, so we are very happy that the signing worked out,” explains Galaxy Sports Director Thomas Kösling. Wright already played and trained under Andrus in 2023. Back then, still with the Philadelphia Stars.

After cornerback Shyheim Battle quarterback Matthew McKay, Wright will be the third of four potential US players on the Frankfurt squad. Like his new teammates, Wright can also look back on a wealth of college experience.

From college to the NFL

Wright first studied at Coffeyville Commnity in the US state of Kansas. He spent a further two years at Purdue University in Indiana. Wright already impressed with his impressive athleticism here. In 25 games for the Boilermakers, he caught a total of 57 passes for 742 yards and five touchdowns.

After his time at college, Wright achieved his NFL dream. It wasn't enough to play a game, but he trained on the practice squad of the Seattle Seahawks, Pittsburgh Steelers and Miami Dolphins from 2019 to 2020.

Wright then moved to the US Spring League XFL. Here he played for the Ottawa Redblacks and San Antonio Brahams. Later he joined the UFL to play for the Philadelphia Stars and most recently for the Michigan Panthers. Here, the playmaker also impressed as a kick returner.

Highly talented Galaxy receiving room

A skill that sports director Thomas Kösling is also convinced of: “Terry is versatile and will make a lot of nice plays.” On paper, Wright fits into a highly talented Galaxy receiving room.

In addition to the import, star receiver Kevin Kaya, former Rookie of the Year Paul Kavadia-Lenhardt and Normen Schumm will also be hunting for touchdowns. Names that are already making some fans dream.

The front office also wants success back in the German city. As does Wright, who brings a clear goal to the first ELF champion in history: “Let's go get another ring”
