Raiders find their quarterback in N’Kosi Perry

After a big 63-7 win over the Barcelona Dragons, the Raiders Tirol have announced N’Kosi Perry as their quarterback for the future. As a dual-threat quarterback, Perry had offers from top colleges such as Auburn, Georgia, Louisville and Florida Atlantic. He ultimately chose the University of Miami, where he played for the Hurricanes - one of the highest-profile football programs in the United States - from 2017 to 2020. Perry had outstanding performances, including a legendary comeback win over arch-rival Florida State, where he threw three touchdowns.

Collegiate Career

In three years at the “U”, Perry played in 24 games and gained 2,484 passing yards with 24 touchdowns. In 2021, he transferred to the Florida Atlantic Owls, where he played in every game the next two seasons (24 games) and threw for a total of 5,483 yards and 45 touchdowns. Perry also recorded ten rushing touchdowns for the Owls. Last year, the quarterback was not selected in the NFL draft, but received an invitation to the Chicago Bears’ mini-camp. He was signed by the Hamilton Tiger-Cats (CFL) and the Seattle Sea Dragons (XFL). He is now making the move to the ELF with the Raiders Tirol.

N’Kosi Perry is excited: "When I got the call, it was almost an immediate yes. I was playing arena football when I got the call, which is 8v8 football. I knew, here in Europe they play 11v11 outdoor football NFL rules. So I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to be a part of such an amazing team. I’m very excited to see what the future holds for myself and my new teammates here."

"Athlete, leader and amazing person"

Ulz Däuber, GM Football: "N’Kosi is an amazing athlete, leader and person. I’m very impressed by his determination of building relationships with his teammates on and off the field in such a short time. The coaching staff and the players are putting in tremendous effort getting ready for the game on Sunday. I’m proud of Kason, stepping in for the game in Barcelona. I’m very excited that everyone in this organization believes in the plan that we have layed out before the season and trusts the process."

N’Kosi Perry will be the new quarterback for the Raiders, following D’Angelo Fulford and Kason Martin. Martin had taken over the quarterback position for one game, as the Raiders had announced. Martin had over 400 total yards and 5 touchdowns in the win against the Dragons.
