Quarterback ratings: Who are the best QBs so far?
Cara Iden

The quarterback is the central figure in a football team’s offense. On every play, he decides whether to pass the ball, hand it off, or run it himself, playing a key role in shaping the game. His ability to make quick decisions and read the defense makes him the most important position on the field.
With the final weeks of the regular season approaching and the playoffs on the horizon, the quarterback remains a key figure who can determine the outcome of a game. Based on the current playoff picture, we take a closer look at each team’s quarterback and rank them using the Quarterback Rating (QBR). This value is calculated using completion percentage, passing yards, touchdown passes, and interceptions. As in the NFL, the maximum QBR is 158.3.
#1 Vienna Vikings - QB Ben Holmes
In the current playoff picture after Week 9, the Vienna Vikings (7-1) are directly qualified for the semifinals. Their quarterback, Ben Holmes, ranks fourth in the ELF Quarterback Rating with a score of 120.5. Holmes benefits from a deep and well-rounded offense, giving him plenty of reliable targets. Chris Calaycay, head coach of the Vikings, explained: "We have a lot of different looks to get the ball to different guys in different places and it’s Ben’s job to distribute the ball. We have to be able to use our weapons efficiently and that gives us a lot of confidence."
#2 Munich Ravens - QB Russell Tabor
Also currently qualified directly for the semifinals are the Munich Ravens (7-1) with their young quarterback Russell Tabor, who ranks sixth in the QBR standings with a score of 103.8. One key reason for this is his high number of interceptions: he has thrown nine so far this season. Tabor is a classic dual-threat quarterback: not only can he distribute the ball effectively, but he also runs it himself – especially in crucial moments – to secure important first downs or even points. In recent weeks, Tabor has repeatedly shown his strength under pressure. In the narrow wins over Stuttgart Surge in Week 7 and the Madrid Bravos in Week 8, he proved that he delivers in crunch time.
#3 Nordic Storm - QB Jadrian Clark
Currently ranked third in the playoff picture are the undefeated newcomers Nordic Storm (7-0) from Denmark. Before the season, they signed one of the league’s top quarterbacks: Jadrian Clark, the 2023 MVP and 2024 Championship Game MVP. Clark ranks second in the ELF Quarterback Rating with 127.9. Last week, he proved his ability to decide games when he faced his former team, Rhein Fire, which he led to back-to-back championships. He made an impressive comeback in the last quarter and, together with a strong defensive effort, secured a narrow win (25-24) over the reigning champions.

#4 Stuttgart Surge - QB Reilly Hennessey
Stuttgart Surge (6-2), the current leader of the West Division, holds fourth place in the current playoff picture. Their quarterback, Reilly Hennessey, is performing at a high level and stands third in the QBR with a score of 126.2.
#5 Paris Musketeers - QB Jaylon Henderson
Right behind them in fifth place are the Paris Musketeers (5-3), who currently sit second in the West Division. Quarterback Jaylon Henderson positioned eighth in the QBR with a score of 98.2. In the current season he recorded 18 touchdowns in eight games.
#6 Raiders Tirol - QB N’Kosi Perry
Also currently in playoff position are the Raiders Tirol (5-3). Their quarterback, N’Kosi Perry – who stepped in for the injured Conor Miller – holds ninth place in the QBR. One reason for this may be his relatively low completion rate of 55.45 percent. In four games he threw eight touchdowns.

Still chasing one of the valuable playoff spots are the Prague Lions, Rhein Fire, Madrid Bravos, and Wroclaw Panthers.
Madrid Bravos – Reid Sinnett
Based on QBR, the Madrid Bravos (5-3) have the best chances. Their quarterback Reid Sinnett leads the Quarterback Rating with a score of 137.9. This season, he has recorded 2,685 passing yards and 33 passing touchdowns. His completion percentage tops the league at over 70 percent. Fifteen of those touchdowns were caught by his exceptional wide receiver Aron Cruickshank. With this duo, the Bravos still have a shot at making the playoffs.
The other contenders in the playoff race
Rhein Fire (4-4) is playing this season with a new quarterback after Jadrian Clark’s departure. Chad Jeffries ranks 11th in QBR with 90.5, partly because he has thrown only 9 touchdowns. For comparison, Reid Sinnett leads this category with 33 touchdown passes.
The Prague Lions (4-4) are playing their best ELF season so far and can realistically hope to reach the playoffs. However, their quarterback Javarian Smith ranks only 12th in the QBR.
The Wroclaw Panthers (5-3) count on dual-threat QB DJ Irons, the league leader with 730 rushing yards this season. However, their remaining schedule is challenging, with tough back-to-back matchups against the Vikings and Ravens.
