Promising newcomers! More players for the Mercenaries
The Helvetic Mercenaries are continuing to work on their squad for the coming season. With Tyrell Bovelle a new running back joins the team.
The 26-year-old began his football career in his home country, Great Britain, with the East Kent Mavericks, for whom he played for nine years. In 2024, he moved to Germany, where he also has roots. He played for the New Yorker Lions in the German League of Football, where he made the 3rd All star team.
Bovelle has also played for the Great Britain national team.
The Mercenaries also announce two signings for their defense. Linebacker Yann Hinder extends his contract for another season. The Swiss player played for the St. Gallen Bears until 2024 before moving to the Mercenaries. In his first season in the ELF, Hinder played five games, in which he made four tackles.
Imar Shah is another linebacker to join the Mercenaries. The 24-year-old is looking forward to his ELF debut. Shah played for the Zurich Renegades from 2018-2024. The Mercenaries are therefore securing another homegrown talent.
