The Czech franchise officially re-signed their 35-year-old defensive end James Brooks for his fourth season with the team and the second season in the ELF.

The former three-star prospect out of high school has gained a lot of experience of playing American football in Europe. His first stop was with the Cologne Falcons back in 2013. From that point on, the Arizona State product bounced around teams in Europe as well as Japan.

In 2023, Brooks recorded eight and a half sacks, 14 tackles for loss and four forced fumbles. For the Lions, it seems like a no-brainer to re-sign the talented defensive end and leader of their locker room.

It will be interesting to see what else the Lions have up their sleeve this offseason as Brooks is their first official player on their 2024 roster. New general manager Mason Parker announced his excitement for the position that he is in when he took charge of the Lions. Parker also announced his intention to make his new team ready for a championship run down the stretch. So, let’s wait and see what the Lions will do next in this exciting offseason coming up!
