The Paris Musketeers upgrade their offensive line after Week 1!

The Paris Musketeers sign former Sea Devils and Calgary Stampeders offensive lineman Keanu Ebanks to their roster, as reported by the franchise.

The 29-year-old offensive lineman will provide immediate help after the Musketeers gave up six sacks in Week 1 against the Centurions. Ebanks recently suited up for the Calgary Stampeders after being signed by the CFL team in March of 2022.

“My football knowledge vastly increased”

In a statement regarding his signing with the Musketeers, Ebanks underlines what being part of the Canadian Football League has done for him: “CFL play and coaching is another level. Not only did I become a better player, my football knowledge vastly increased. The attention to detail in professional Football is second to none and it is something I will bringing back to the European game.”

The 198cm tall and 140kg athlete has been a sought-after talent for years. In 2019, Ebanks was part of the NFL International Combine. In the following two years, the British offensive lineman participated in the CFL Global Combine. After spending 2021 with the Sea Devils in the European League of Football, the Stampeders took a chance on one of the best European offensive lineman.

However, the Stampeders released Ebanks about two weeks ago in wakes of league-wide roster cuts in the CFL. Now, the offensive lineman returns to Europe’s biggest league for the 1-0 Paris Musketeers. “When I saw that Paris was getting team, I was super intrigued,” Ebanks explains in an interview regarding his comeback to Europe. “When I got released by Calgary, [the Musketeers] were on top of the list of European teams I wanted to play with. They got in touch and both sides are very happy.”

As reported by the team, Ebanks will not suit up in Week 2 against the Surge as he gets time to adjust to the team. However, the Musketeers get a reliable offensive tackle for the 2023 season who received All-Star honors with the Sea Devils two years ago.
