Paris Musketeers make monumental strides in year 2

Only two years after Paris was announced as an expansion team to the European League at the 2022 ELF Championship game, they found themselves one game away from being in the 2024 championship.

Since being annouced as a new team two years ago, football has been growing at a much faster rate in the French capital as the Musketeers were born. Soon after the announcement the team made a splash signing bringing in arguably the ELF’s top quarterback and wide receiver as well as a long list of talented french players

After a 6-6 season in year one, the Musketeers took the step from expansion team on the rise, to true contenders in year two. Advancing all the way to the ELF semi-finals and finishing with a 11-3 record.

QB Zach Edwards makes magic

One of the brightest stars of the Musketeers this season was without a doubt quarterback Zach Edwards. After a 2023 season that likely fell below his own standards, Edwards came back with vengeance this past season.

Edwards statistics were certainly the most unique of any quarterback, finishing second in the league in passing with 3,057 yards and 34 touchdowns, while also rushing for 782 yards and 8 touchdowns on the ground for sixth in the league.

Road Warriors

Due to the 2024 summer Olympics being held in Paris this year, the Musketeers were playing outside of the French capital for over a month. Despite the fact they were on the road for so long the team went 3-1 during that stretch.

Only losses came to the Rhein Fire and Vienna Vikings

The Musketeers played in a tough Western conference but proved early on in the season they were going to be a title contender sweeping the Galaxy, Thunder, and Bravos. They earned a home playoff game with a win over Madrid in Week 13. That game led to a epic back and forth Widlcard playoff game with the Munich Ravens that say the Musketeers leave victorious in 40-37 game filled with fireworks. .

Their only losses came to the eventual champion Rhein Fire in regular season, and a road loss to the Vienna Vikings in the semi-finals.
