Paris Musketeers announce Stade Jean-Bouin as home stadium for 2023.
The Paris Musketeers have found their home place for the 2023 European League of Football season.
It was announced today that the Paris Musketeers will call Stade Jean-Bouin home for their debut 2023 European League of Football season. The newly founded American football team is one of the expansion franchises for the league. Paris joins 16 other teams from 8 other countries to compete at the highest level of American football outside of North America. The Musketeers are the league's only team from France.
They will host six opponents at Stade Jean-Bouin this summer. The team’s home opener will occur on June 10th when the Stuttgart Surge travel to Paris.
"We want to be the sport and cultural workshop that brings the best of the best of Paris together," is General Manager Marc-Angelo Soumah quoted in the press release, "In the spirit of any workshop, we want to fearlessly and relentlessly seek the cutting edge of all the things that make this team an unique and beloved Parisian experience - Human Performance, High-Level Sport, Artistic Expression, Immersive Technology, and more."
Stade Jean-Bouin is a multi-purpose stadium in the 16th arrondissement of Paris, France. The 19.904 capacity facility is located across the street from Parc des Princes and Roland Garros. It is the home stadium of Stade Français rugby and FC Versailles.
The stadium was opened in 1925, and is named after the athlete Jean Bouin, the 5000 meter silver medalist from 1912 Olympics. Since 2018, the Paris Saint-Germain Féminines soccer team has also plays its home matches at Stade Jean-Bouin.
