One who lived the NFL Dream - Reece Horn

The European League of Football is full of experience. Be it among the coaches or players. Be it in Europe or North America. In addition to their ELF careers, some professionals can also look back on several times in the NFL.

Vienna Vikings wide receiver Reece Horn is no exception. The 31-year-old US import grew up in Indianapolis, Indiana. After his time at Cathedral High Fighting Irish and the University of Indianapolis, he joined the practice squad of the Tennessee Titans. In addition to numerous stops in Europe, he also trained with the Miami Dolphins and Cincinnati Bengals.

"I started with the Tennessee Titans and then signed with the Miami Dolphins, one of my favorite receiver rooms, Cincinnati as well. I learned so much from those teams," remembers Horn. He continues: "In Cincinnati that was easily the best receiving room I have ever been in, with Ja'Marr Chase, Tyler Boyd, Tee Higgings, Trenton Irwin as well, all these guys were absolutely studs."

The student becomes the teacher

Friendships that last a lifetime: "They taught me so much, we all still keep in touch." Horn has already played a lot of football in his career. That helps him now: "It's great to take nuggets from all teams and professional coaches and then be an American football product in Europe."

He wants to be a leader and teacher for other players. "What makes a great athlete and leader is not only being great individually, but also making others around you great as well or even better than you. That is the true sign of a great athlete and leader,” says Horn, who always tries to use his experience to help the next generation. “That's how you grow, and things can progress."

In Europe, Horn played for the Milan Seamen and Frankfurt Galaxy alongside the Vikings. He recently extended his contract in Vienna for a further season.
