Nordic Storm sign coaching talent Henry Schlegel as QB coach

Henry Schlegel is the new quarterback coach of Nordic Storm. The 25-year-old is regarded as one of the greatest coaching talents in Europe.

"I am beyond excited to be a part of Nordic Storm", says Schlegel. He adds: "We have a unique opportunity on our hands and a special blend of Homegrown and outside players and coaches. From the ground up you can tell it's a great organization with a bright future, and it feels like family already."

Schlegel took on his first coaching job in 2019 as wide receiver coach of the Hildesheim Young Invaders. In the same year, he was promoted to offensive coordinator. He was previously active as a wide receiver himself.

After further appearances with the men's team of the Invaders, as well as the Niedersachsen Mustangs and the Berlin Eagles, the German even accepted a volunteer position at Division I FCS Bethune-Cookman University in 2022. In this role, he was a graduate assistant responsible for breaking down film and writing the scouting report for the defense.

Schlegel made ELF history in 2023

After his return to Germany, he was presented as Head of Scouting and Quality Control of Berlin Thunder. In 2023, he was promoted to Offensive Coordinator. At only 23 years old at the time, he became the youngest OC in the history of the European League of Football.

Now the new chapter at Nordic Storm. Schlegel will be in charge of the quarterback room around superstar Jadrian Clark.
