Nordic Storm extend with defensive anchor Luke Glenna
ELF
Nordic Storm have taken an important step in shaping their roster for the upcoming season: Safety Luke Glenna, one of the franchise’s standout performers in 2025, has signed a contract extension and will remain with the team going forward.
Glenna: A Cornerstone of Storm's Defense
Luke Glenna quickly established himself as a key figure in the Storm’s inaugural season. His production was a major reason for the team’s defensive stability, delivering 67 tackles, 5 interceptions, and 11 pass breakups.
With his extension, Nordic Storm secure not only continuity but also veteran leadership. Glenna has proven to be one of the franchise’s defining players, and keeping him in Copenhagen reinforces the organization’s long-term defensive identity.
Career Path: From Minnesota to Spain to Scandinavia
A native of Edina, Minnesota, Glenna played his college football at the University of St. Thomas before launching his professional career in the European League of Football. His journey took him first to the Barcelona Dragons (2023), then to the Madrid Bravos (2024), where he further cemented his reputation as an All-Star-caliber defensive back.
When Nordic Storm signed him ahead of the 2025 season, it was immediately viewed as a statement move - adding an experienced, high-impact safety capable of elevating a young franchise. Glenna’s extension continues a deliberate strategy by the Storm to keep their core intact. Alongside returning quarterback Jadrian Clark and wide receiver Brendan Beaulieu, Glenna represents another foundational pillar the team will rely on in 2026.
