Explosiveness on offense and special teams

While Mitchell’s impact last season did not quite reach the level of his breakout year alongside Edwards in 2024, the American receiver once again showcased his explosiveness on the field. He recorded 47 receptions for 600 yards and 9 touchdowns, proving he remains a reliable scoring threat in the Musketeers’ passing attack.

Mitchell also excelled on special teams, returning 28 kicks for a total of 821 yards and one touchdown, adding another valuable dimension to Paris’ overall game. His speed and open-field ability continue to make him one of the league’s most dangerous returners.

With Mitchell returning for the 2026 season - now reunited with quarterback Zach Edwards - the Musketeers can look forward to reestablishing one of the ELF’s most exciting QB-WR duos. Their chemistry, combined with the growing talent around them, sets the stage for a high-powered offense with clear playoff ambitions.

A promising outlook for 2026

Bringing back Austin Mitchell gives the Musketeers a proven playmaker who can change games in multiple ways. His presence strengthens the receiving corps, boosts special teams, and adds veteran leadership to the locker room.

As Paris continues shaping its roster, Mitchell’s re-signing marks another important step toward building a competitive team capable of making a strong push for the postseason.
