Munich Ravens to play in the Max-Morlock-Stadion in Nürnberg

The Munich Ravens announced to take the Bavarian identification even further. In 2024,  the franchise will play a home game in the 2024 season at the Max-Morlock-Stadion - home of soccer team 1. FC Nürnberg. 50,000 fans can take place in the stadium.

Another big stadium

The so-called "Nuremberg Game 2024" will take place on Saturday, June 22, 2024 in cooperation with the City of Nuremberg, 1. FC Nürnberg, Stadion Nürnberg Betriebs-GmbH and the Franconian Football Initiative. The opponent is last year's finalist Stuttgart Surge in their Week 5 matchup.

Sebastian Stolz, General Manager Munich Ravens: "Our first season has already shown that we have fans all over Bavaria. We want to do them justice. That's why we decided to play a home game in a large stadium in Bavaria next season. We are very happy and grateful that the City of Nuremberg, 1. FC Nürnberg, Stadion Nürnberg Betriebs-GmbH and the Franconian Football Initiative want to embark on this adventure with us. The support in Nuremberg and Franconia has been great from the very first idea, and we are looking forward to a unique football festival."

Finding synergies in football and soccer

Dieter Hecking, Head of Sport at 1. FC Nürnberg: "Even when I was a coach, I thought it was very important to always think outside the box and see if you can adopt things from other sports. We might find synergies that help us both to improve. We are also delighted that, together with the Max-Morlock-Stadion and the Franconian Football Initiative, we have succeeded in bringing a European League of Football match to Nuremberg for the first time. This means we can offer the many Franconian sports fans another highlight in addition to our club matches."
