Pass defense gets a major boost
Nash won’t be alone. The Mercenaries have also signed Devan Burrell, who was recently released by the Wroclaw Panthers following their Game Week 7 match against the Fehérvár Enthroners.
Burrell has put together impressive numbers so far this season, recording 22 tackles, 2 tackles for loss, 1 sack, 1 forced fumble, and 2 interceptions - including a pick-six. In addition, he’s proven to be a true weapon on special teams, having returned the ball for a total of 931 yards and three touchdowns.
With these new additions, the Mercenaries hope to make a fresh start and will be aiming to finally secure some wins in the European League of Football season.
