Mercenaries sign Diacoumidis and Miranda for 2026

The Helvetic Mercenaries have announced their first roster additions for the 2026 season. With Osteen Diacoumidis and Kobe Miranda, the Swiss franchise begins shaping its team for the upcoming European League of Football campaign.
A young, versatile homegrown player returns
Osteen Diacoumidis is one of the Mercenaries’ promising homegrown talents. The young Swiss player was already part of the team last season but saw limited playing time, which led him to spend time with the Regensburg Phoenix to further develop his skills.
Now, he returns to the Mercenaries for another opportunity - bringing valuable versatility, as he can contribute on both sides of the ball, lining up as wide receiver or cornerback depending on the team’s needs.

First import signing: Kobe Miranda
With Kobe Miranda, the Mercenaries have also confirmed their first American import for 2026. Miranda rejoined the franchise during the 2025 season after previously playing in the European League of Football in 2023 for the Prague Lions.
Last year, the 27-year-old recorded 79 rushing yards on 18 carries and added 23 receptions for 76 yards and one touchdown, showing his ability to contribute as both a runner and a receiver out of the backfield.
Setting the Tone for 2026
By securing Diacoumidis and Miranda, the Helvetic Mercenaries take their first steps toward building a deeper and more flexible roster for 2026. With a mix of young local talent and experienced imports, the franchise aims to strengthen its identity and compete more consistently in the upcoming season.
