Mercenaries keep Rookie of the Year Milan Spiller
The Helvetic Mercenaries keep one of their most important offensive players. Rookie of the Year 2024 Milan Spiller extends his contract with the team from Switzerland for antother season. The homegrown player developed into one of the team's most important playmaker just in his first year in the ELF.
Spiller impressed and immediately broke the magic 1000 receiving yards mark. The 21-year-old caught 63 passes for a total of 1008 yards and five touchdowns. He was on the field in all 12 games, of which he even started eleven.
Spiller will therefore also be an important part of the receiving room next season, which the Mercenaries have already strengthened with a prestigious addition. They recently signed All-Star wideout Aaron Jackson.
Something that not only the fans are happy about. "We are thrilled to sign back Milan the 2024 Rookie of the Year. Looking at his tape, he definitely earned that title and I look forward to getting to work with him", says the new head coach of the Mercenaries Marcus Herford. "With his speed and his explosive play style, he will be a threat in our offense. Together with AJ we will have a dynamic Duo which will create some stunning Plays for sure!", he continues.
"It quickly became clear that Milan would be one of our most important building blocks for the 2025 season", explains Mercenaries General Manager Chris Rummel. He adds: "It is extraordinary to have such a young and talented homegrown receiver on the roster. We are all the more pleased as an organization that Milan believes in our mission and our project. Together with AJ, we have a very dangerous and dynamic duo in our roster, which will certainly lead to some great moments next season."
