Major Signing! All-Star DB Exavier Edwards joins the Nordic Storm

The Nordic Storm continue to make waves this ELF off-season, this time signing their first American defender, coming to terms with former ELF All-Star and ELF Champion Exavier Edwards. The veteran defender comes to the Storm after spending the past three seasons with the Vienna Vikings.

Champion & All-Star

The 33-year-old veteran was an intregal pat of the Viking's 2022 ELF championship and was named an All-Star the next season in 2023. Over the course of three seasons in Vienna, Edwards made 111 tackles and 9 interceptions. The former college all-conference return man has also been an impact player as a returner and running back in the past, scoring 5 rushing touchdowns and racking up 1,633 yards and one touchdown as a returner

A comeback in Copenhagen

In 2024 Edwards battled injuries and was limited to only 5 games. In those games, however, he made 19 tackles one interception and amassed 274 return yards. Edwards is one of the oldest imports in the ELF and hopes to make a splash come back for the Storm and the league's newest team might have already reached contender status.

A versatile piece

In 2021, he suited up for the Braunschweig New Yorker Lions in the German Football League. Similar to his ELF season in 2022, he lined up all over the field for the Lions, splitting time as a running back and safety. Offensively, Edwards finished the season 2021 season with 1,144 all-purpose yards and 11 touchdowns. The versatile athlete tallied 724 rushing yards, along with contributing as a receiver and kick returner. On the other side of the ball, he flashed the ability to change the game with limited snaps, finishing the season with nine tackles, three tackles for a loss, two sacks, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery.

Prior to coming to Europe, Edwards was an All-conference return man and safety at Midland University Warriors (NAIA).

Edwards is the newest import for the Storm, as they have already signed former ELF MVP's quarterback Jadrian Clark and running back Glen Toonga. It remains to be seen who the other two American imports for the Storm will be for 2025
