Back and forth first half
Frankfurt and Madrid traded big plays in an exciting first half. Galaxy quarterback Jameson Wang ran for two touchdowns while Reid Sinnett found Aron Cruickshank for two scores, giving the visiting Bravos a 20-16 lead at the half.
Record breaking day
Aron Cruickshanks' big day helped him break the single season ELF record for receptions (122) receiving yards (1,729) and receiving touchdowns (20) in what has been a simply outstanding season from the former Rutgers and Wisconsin University standout in his first ELF season.
Madrid catches fire in second half
The Bravos took the field in the second half in dominant fashion. Reid Sinnett found Juan Flores Calderon for two scores and Justus Seelig for another to give Madrid 21 unanswered points, silencing a large crowd in Frankfurt.
Bravos quarterback Reid Sinnett made a strong case for MVP today, finishing the day with an amazing stat line, throwing for 359 yards and 6 touchdowns on 87.5% completion percentage.
Playoffs secured for Madrid
With the win, the Bravos have secured either the 5th or 6th seed and seed and will be traveling to Stuttgart in the wildcard round depending on the outcome of the Rhein Fire and Nordic Storm game later today. For Frankfurt it ends their season, despite an impressive mid-season turnaround.
