Madrid Bravos Cesare Brugnani “We must be extremely disciplined”

© Paula RomoThe 7-3 Madrid Bravos fly to Munich Germany to take on the 9-1 Munich Ravens this Sunday at 13:00 CET in maybe the most important game on the schedule this week.
Back in Week 8 the Bravos lost to the Ravens at home 43-40 in a nail-biter that included a 20 point comeback from the visiting Ravens.
Learning from the first matchup
This time the Bravos hope to steal a game on the road from the Ravens and improve their playoff chances. Defensive veteran Cesare Brugnani talked about how the Madrid squad is feeling going into this game:
“Well, the team’s mindset is to go out and win game after game and find a way to make that happen. We’re at our best as a team right now and fully focused on our goal.”
For the Bravos, they were able to score against Munich, however 20 points in the third quarter and 43 points overall left the defense wanting more. Brugnani broke down what it will take for Madrid defensive unit to slow down one of the ELF’s most explosive units:
“We must be extremely disciplined in our assignments and have good communication. Shutting down their running game and keeping the quarterback contained in the pocket should put us in a good position to stop their offense.”
Stars on display
Madrid’s defense has been overshadowed by MVP candidates Reid Sinnett and Aron Cruickshank on offense. This weekend is a chance to prove to the ELF that they can step up and slow down the league’s best playmaker. From Brugnani and the core of spanish homegrown’s that comes one practice, one play, and one game at a time.

We’re a group made up mostly of homegrown players who’ve known each other for years, and we understand each other’s strengths and weaknesses, which gives us great adaptability going into every game.”
