Great news for all football fans! The "ran Football" team will report on a total of 13 free TV games, and the German TV station will offer further games and all highlights at ran.de.
"With the European League of Football, we want to give this wonderful sport the professional stage that players and fans deserve on our continent as well. We are proud to have ProSieben MAXX and 'ran' at our side as the Home of Football and to be able to offer the European League of Football to a large audience on free-TV. This is a huge deal," says Patrick "Coach" Esume, Commissioner of the European League of Football.
ran" sports director Alexander Rösner is also looking forward to the cooperation: "The success story of football in Germany continues. With the European League of Football we offer our viewers a new, attractive league of this fascinating sport. With Commissioner Coach Esume and the unique 'ran Football' spirit, we will accompany the premiere season of the European League of Football in order to establish it in the community right from the beginning.
The European League of Football starts its first season in June. A total of ten rounds in the regular season as well as two semi-finals and the final are scheduled until September. Eight franchises from three nations are competing in the premiere season, with the Stuttgart Scorpions, the Ingolstadt Praetorians, the German Knights 1367 Niedersachsen, the Barcelona Gladiators and the Polish champions Wroclaw Panthers as well as franchises from Berlin, Hamburg and Frankfurt.
In the upcoming years, the European League of Football will continue to grow. The shareholders of SEH Sports & Entertainment Holding around Managing Director Zeljko Karajica are planning in the mid-term to have more than 20 franchises from ten countries in a league that is so relevant from a sporting point of view that it can then also serve as a training ground for the NFL. The season is played according to NFL rules, which distinguishes the European League of Football from all other leagues in Europe that follow NCAA rules.
