Leipzig Kings sign quarterback Kenyatte Allen

With Kenyatte Allen, the Leipzig Kings have signed the leader in touchdowns (49) of the last German Football League season, as quarterback. The former Robert Morris University (Div. I FCS) alumn had 3.342 yards passing and a touchdown to interception ratio of 43-4 with the Allgäu Comets in 2022. Allen joined the Maine Mammoths and Bismarck Bucks in Arena football, as well as Wataha Zielena Gora in Poland.
"Proven productive guy"
Leipzig Kings' head coach John Booker is convinced that the 28-year-old signal caller will have an immediate impact: “Kenyatte possesses the hunger to maximize his ability, and this is the type of leader a team looking to improve needs. His production in the GFL was off the charts. He protects the football, which is evident by the 43 Touchdowns to just 4 interceptions he posted last season. He was also very efficient, completing 68% of his throws. To go along with his proficiency in the pass game, he is a very dangerous runner. We are extremely happy we found a proven productive guy that fits into our team both on the field and off.”

At 1,82 m and 90 kg, Allen should last longer than its predecessors. Last year, three different signal callers were active for the Saxons. Jordan Barlow started the season but got injured, so Conor Miller had to take over. However, the season had to be ended by the nimble Gabriel Cunningham, who will play for the Fehérvár Enthroners next year. The merry-go-round is expected to stop with Allen.
