Jordan Neuman: A loss that can spark a new fire
This loss was a special one. For Jordan Neuman, head coach of the Stuttgart Surge, this loss was his first in his now seven years of being a head coach. Before taking over the coaching duties for the Surge franchise, the 39-year-old was leading the charges for the Schwäbisch Hall Unicorns. From 2016 to now, Neuman amassed 82 wins in a row in the regular season. With the Unicorns, he won the German Bowl three times, before choosing to coach in a higher competition this year and maybe for years to come. The 13-31 loss was one of the biggest upsets the European League of Football has seen in the last three years.
On one hand, the Guards were too much to handle for the Surge. On the other hand, the loss could spark new fire for Neuman and his staff. That failure, unprecedented for Neuman as head coach, may cause a surge to go through the team. In a strong Central Conference, it comes down to crucial duels with the Raiders, Guards or Dragons. Overcoming adversity could make Neuman an even better coach. The Surge could enter a new era as of now.
