Jim Herrmann steps down as Head Coach of the Raiders
Felix Pahl

The Raiders Tirol and Head Coach Jim Herrmann will go separate ways after the 2025 season. Herrmann took over the team in October 2023 and led the franchise for two years in the European League of Football. With his long NFL background, he helped the team grow on and off the field.
Herrmann reflects on his time in Tirol
In a statement, Herrmann explained his decision: "At the end of the 2025 season, my second year in Innsbruck, I decided it is time to step away from coaching in the European League of Football and the Raiders Tirol. When I came here two years ago, my goal was to help develop football in Europe. Together with a great staff and hardworking players, we certainly achieved that. I want to thank everyone involved, especially the players, for their effort. The Raiders Tirol are one of the best franchises in Europe, and I am grateful to have been part of it."

NFL experience brought to Europe
Before his time in Innsbruck, Herrmann worked as Linebacker Coach in the NFL with the New York Jets, the Indianapolis Colts, and the New York Giants, with whom he won the Super Bowl. His experience provided valuable input not only for the players but also for the entire organization.
Gratitude and future plans
Ulz Däuber, General Manager Football of the Raiders Tirol, thanked Herrmann for his work:
"We are grateful for Jim’s commitment and leadership. With his professional approach and long experience, he gave important impulses to our team."
The Raiders Tirol have started the process of finding a new Head Coach. The search is still ongoing, and no decision has been made yet.
