In the second attempt: Galaxy sign Toby Naylor
Frankfurt Galaxy have signed another important piece for their defense. Linebacker Toby Naylor joins the team from the West Division.
“I’m really thankful to have another opportunity to show what I can do in this league, and I’m so excited to be playing for such a great organisation with such a passionate fan base, can’t wait to rep the purple this year!”, says Naylor.
Galaxy sporting director Thomas Kösling is delighted about the deal: “Toby Naylor will give our LB group enormous stability. He has the necessary physicality, athleticism and, above all, leadership skills.” Kösling reveals that both parties previously already worked on a signing: “We were already in good talks last year and are even happier that it worked out this year.”
Instead of playing for Galaxy, the 24-year-old Brit made his ELF debut last season for the Hamburg Sea Devils. He was a starter for the German team. In 11 games, Naylor made 68 tackles, including 1.5 for loss and an interception. He also forced a fumble and recovered another.
Before his time in the ELF, Naylor played four years at NCAA Division II Brevard College in North Carolina, USA.
