The decision on who would advance to the playoffs between the Madrid Bravos and Frankfurt Galaxy was watched by 150,000 viewers on Sunday on the German TV channel ProSieben MAXX. The market share in the relevant target group proved to be particularly strong. In the target group of men aged 14-49, the market share averaged 3.9%. At its peak, ProSieben MAXX reached 210,000 viewers in the second quarter of the game, with a market share of 6.5% (men aged 14-49).
Top ratings across several platforms
During the second game broadcast on ProSieben MAXX on Sunday between newcomer Nordic Storm and champion Rhein Fire, the number of viewers remained at 150,000, which still represented a good market share of 1.5% in the channel's target group at that time.
Online viewing figures also underlined the high level of interest in the final phase of the European League of Football. ProSiebenSat.1's digital platforms achieved very good ratings with the three games broadcasted over the weekend. And the European League of Football's digital channels also recorded season highs in users, sessions, and impressions last weekend.
"We are naturally delighted with the huge interest shown by viewers in the regular season final. Now we are looking forward to some exciting playoff games", said ELF CEO Zeljko Karajica.
