Helvetic Mercenaries release Star Wide Receiver Aaron Jackson

Even before his first game for the Helvetic Mercenaries, wide receiver Aaron Jackson has already left his new team again. The 29-year-old only signed for the Swiss team at the beginning of November. US-Import Jackson was supposed to give the Mercenaries receiver room new strength with his experience and talent in 2025. But now the quick breakup.

“Due to contractual disagreements with his previous team, Aaron Jackson has decided to retire from ELF football. After discussions, we have agreed to his request and terminated his contract,” the Mercenaries announced. 

Jackson played for the Berlin Thunder from 2023 to 2024. Also, thanks to his 26 touchdowns in 23 ELF games, the has been one of the best receivers in Europe over the past two years.

Youth work keeps him in Berlin

From now on, Jackson will prove his talent with the Berlin Rebels in the German Football League. “I love the real people and the city of Berlin and want to simply be somewhere where I can trust and feel safe,” he explains. Jackson adds. “Be able to help the youth and make a positive impact for those inspiring to do more than what I've done.”

Contact with his new team was established as early as 2024. Jackson began helping out as a coach at camps and training sessions for the youth teams. This work is very important to him. Now that the move to the Mercenaries has fallen through, Aaron Jackson is staying in Berlin after all.
