Helvetic Guards present new owner Jörg Behrendt

The Helvetic Guards have announced a change in ownership. Jörg Behrendt will be the new owner and managing director of the Guards for the future. Toni Zoeller will remain general manager of the Swiss franchise.
"Steady development of the sport of American football"
"I am looking forward to the whole team as well as the upcoming tasks with the Helvetic Guards. Likewise, I am very grateful to be able to continue to contribute to the steady development of the sport of American football in Switzerland. My personal goal is to build a long-term, successful program with the Helvetic Guards!" Jörg Behrendt said.
Toni Zoeller, GM of the Guards, is excited about the step: "I am overjoyed to have Jörg on board. With his expertise and experience both as a businessman and in American football, he will be a key factor in the future success of the Helvetic Guards franchise."
Behrendt is a father and businessman who was previously active in the football club Luzern Lions as sponsor and founder of the club Emmen Dragons.

Long history in Swiss sports
With Jörg Behrendt's entry as managing director, the Guards plan to complete the expansion of the business organization as well as a steady expansion of the management. Through the optimization of the structures and the expansion of the management, the Helvetic Guards plan to act faster and be more flexible as an operational organization.
Under the new ownership, their first game will be against the Barcelona Dragons in week one of the regular season, on June 3rd.
