Harlan Kwofie signs historical five-year deal with Rhein Fire
Rhein Fire make history and extend wide receiver Harlan Kwofie by five years. It’s the first time in ELF history, that a player signed a contract this long. The 25-year-old is therefore committing himself to the reigning champions for a long time.
The homegrown wideout entered the league in 2022 and delivered right away. He made his final breakthrough in 2023 with 46 receptions for 805 yards and 12 touchdowns. He also scored three important touchdowns in the playoffs. Rhein Fire became champion and Kwofie was selected to the Pro Bowl for the first time.
Last season, the German was slowed down by injuries. But that didn't stop Kwofie from delivering - his stats include 20 receptions for 374 yards and six touchdowns. He caught five more touchdowns in the playoffs, paving the way for Rhein Fire to win the first back-to-back championship title in ELF history.
Whether it will even be enough for the three-peat this season remains to be seen. Rhein Fire lost many important players this offseason, including quarterback Jadrian Clark and MVP Glen Toonga. However, fans can look forward to Harlan Kwofie for many more games.
