Hamburg Sea Devils sign D1 quarterback Micah Leon
The Hamburg Sea Devils have found their quarterback for next season in D1 passer Micah Leon. The new QB1 joins new head coach Shuan Fatah as one of the ELF’s proudest franchises hope to to climb back to contender status.
Leon, 23, spent seven seasons playing college football at D1 blue chip programs such as UConn, NC State, and Florida. The Floridian didn’t see much action during his time in the NCAA with just 78 career passing yards. In 2021 he completed 10 of 13 passes for 62 yards as a member of the Uconn Huskies.
Two years later in 2023, he completed two of three passes for 16 yards as a member of the Florida Gator. Following his college career Leon did receive a rookie minicamp invite from the Miami Dolphins.
During his time at Florida, Leon played with future first round draft pick Anthony Richardson and current San Francisco 49ers receiver Ricky Pearsall.
While injuries and other circumstances held back Leon from showing his full potential during his college days. The passer has been praised by coaches for having all the tools such as the size at 195cm (6 '5) and a cannon arm.
Leon now leads a intriguing Hamburg offense that features veteran receivers Jean-Claude Madin Cerezo, John Levi Lewis, Terryon Robinson, and running back Chrisman Kyei.
