With the 2023 Championship Game in Duisburg between Rhein Fire and Stuttgart Surge, the European League of Football delivered a true highlight in the history of European football in September. Behind the scenes, those responsible are working intensively on the further development of the continental league. Managing Director Zeljko Karajica and Commissioner Patrick Esume can now present another strong partner: garmo AG, with its premium brand GAZİ, will be the new ELF main sponsor. The lettering of the European market leader for Mediterranean dairy products will be presented on all helmets of players from the 2024 season, and the company will also have an extensive presence in all stadiums and as a TV presenter.

"Great signal for our league"

"This is wonderful news and a great signal for our league. We are very proud to have once again gained an internationally successful company with such a rich tradition as garmo AG and its top brand GAZİ as a supporter of the European League of Football. During the trusting discussions, it became clear that both sides are pursuing the same goals, to develop and market a product with the best quality and a great deal of passion. It's the perfect match," says ELF Managing Director Zeljko Karajica.

Founded in 1975 and based in Stuttgart, the company is involved with the GAZİ brand in professional as well as youth and popular sports, including as a partner of the soccer clubs VfB Stuttgart and Stuttgarter Kickers and as the namesake of the GAZİ stadium on the Waldau, the venue of the ELF franchise Stuttgart Surge. GAZİ is also a sponsor of basketball (ALBA Berlin).

Further developing football in Europe

"Football is becoming increasingly important in Europe and is attracting a wide audience. The European League of Football is playing a key role in getting more and more people excited about this great sport. Almost 50 years ago, our vision was to bring Mediterranean flair to German fridges. Since then, it has become a widespread and international premium brand. We look forward to accompanying the ELF on its journey and to further developing football in Europe," says Manuel Garcia, board of Directors of garmo AG.

The fourth season of the European League of Football begins in June 2024. It will feature 17 teams from nine nations: Berlin Thunder, Rhein Fire, Frankfurt Galaxy, Hamburg Sea Devils, Cologne Centurions, Stuttgart Surge, Munich Ravens (all Germany), Paris Musketeers (France), Milano Seamen (Italy), Raiders Tirol, Vienna Vikings (both Austria), Panthers Wrocław (Poland), Helvetic Guards (Switzerland), Madrid Bravos, Barcelona Dragons (both Spain), Prague Lions (Czech Republic) and the Fehérvár Enthroners (Hungary). The Championship Game will take place on September 22nd in the VELTINS-Arena of FC Schalke 04 in Gelsenkirchen.
