Nordic Storm signs another tight end. Jonathan Steinhauer Nielsen will wear the jersey of the young franchise next season. Despite his young age, the 23-year-old Dane can already look back on a wealth of football experience.
"Such a good feeling to be back on the field healthy, sharing it with some of my best friends. No matter the outcome, the opportunity itself is a gift, and I’m so thankful for everyone who made this possible", says Steinhauer.
He played two years for the Søllerød Golddiggers, with whom he made it back-to-back in the Danish Championship Game. He then moved to the USA to study kinesiology at the Big12 NCAA University of Baylor. With the Denmark football national team, he even competed in the U19 European Championship 2019.
Steinhauer was already familiar with life in the States. He took part in an exchange program while still at school, spending a month playing football at Joshua High School in Texas.
Now the return to his home country. It's not just Steinhauer who is about to make his ELF debut with Nordic Storm. The ambitious franchise is hungry for its first ELF game.
This will take place on the opening weekend from May 17 to 18, 2025.
