Fehérvár Enthroners announce release of quarterback Jerod Evans
After quarterback Jerod Evans announced his release via Twitter on Tuesday morning, the Hungarian franchise followed shortly after.
It is the Enthroners' second quarterback change of the season. After Gabriel Cunningham had to leave just before the season, the Enthroners have now also announced the release of Jerod Evans. Previously, Evans posted the following words: “It is with a mix of emotions that I announce my release from the Fehérvár Enthroners. As my journey in that chapter comes to an end, I am excited and determined to explore new opportunities in the world of football.”
Evans becomes a free agent, that could be sought-after by some teams in the league. With 377 yards passing, 66.07 percent completition rate and a touchdown to interception ratio of four to two, Evans could not deliver the success he would have wished for. Behind a shaky offensive line, the former ACC Championship winner was sacked 15 times in just three games. Only the already released former Centurions’ quarterback Dylan Jacob had two sacks more on his belt.
It is not yet determined who will be the next starting quarterback for the Enthroners.
