Alex Malchow

We only have one week of the regular season left to play in what has been another amazing season of ELF football. 6 teams will make the playoffs and two will receive a first round bye, before the championship game in Stuttgart.
Let's see what every potential playoff team has to play for in Week 14 as there are several playoff scenario's that could play out over a dramatic regular season finale.
Munich Ravens (10-1) - Playing for a bye week
The Ravens face off against the Wroclaw Panthers (5-6) on Saturday at 18 CET. No matter what they are in the playoffs with a home game falling somewhere between the 1-3 seed. With a win they will earn a bye week as the number 1 or 2 seed depending if the Vikings win against Paris.
With a loss they could still have the 2 seed if the Storm lose to the Rhein Fire. If they lose and the Storm win they will fall to the third seed.

Vienna Vikings (10-1) - Playing for a bye week
The Vikings control their own destiny as with a win they could earn the top seed entering the playoffs making sure the road to Stuttgart goes through Vienna.
If they lose to a talented Paris team and one of Munich or Nordic Storm loses they will be the 2nd seed. If they lose and the Storm and Ravens win Vienna falls all the way to the third seed losing their first round bye.

Nordic Storm (10-1) Playing for a bye week with a home playoff game secured
The Storm need some help to secure the top seed and will be cheering for Paris and Wroclaw, who in Week 14 face Vienna and Munich, respectively. With a win against Rhein Fire and losses by both Munich and Vienna, the Storm would claim the top seed.
If the Storm beat the Fire and one of the Ravens or Vikings loses they will be the second seed. However, If the storm wins and both Vienna and Munich win they will be the third seed due the strength of victory.
If the Storm lose they will be either the third or fourth seed depending on the Stuttgart Surge’s game against the Enthroners.

Win, and VIK, MUC lose -> #1 Seed
Win, and VIK or MUC lose -> #2 Seed
Win, and VIK and MUC win -> #3 Seed
The Stuttgart Surge (9-2) : Home playoff game secured with no chance of a bye week
With two losses already the Surge aren’t able to get bye week. Going 1-1 against the Ravens, and Munich and Vienna’s Strength of Victory being higher than the Surge’s means that the 2023 runner ups will either be the 3 or 4 seed depending on if they beat the Enthroners this week.

Win → 3rd Seed
Lose → 4th Seed
Paris Musketeers (7-4): Win & In
Musketeers defender Stanley Zeregbe said it best: "its do or die"
Paris has the most simple road to the playoffs. But that doesn’t make it easy. The Musketeers must win against the top seeded Vienna VIkings this week to get in the playoffs as the fifth or sixth seed.
These two teams met in last year’s semi-finals and played in Paris this season with Vienna winning 40-33 in week 9.

Win → Wild Card
Rhein Fire (7-4): Win and you’re in
Another simple but not easy one. The back to back defending champions will host the 10-1 Nordic Storm. With a win they are in the wild card round.
The two teams met in Denmark back in week 9 with the Storm winning a nail-biter 25-24.
If the Fire and Paris lose, the Fire are ahead of french squad as far as wins and sneak into the playoffs while Paris would be out.

Win → Wild Card
Lose, and max. one of PAR or FGY win -> Wild Card
Madrid Bravos (7-4): Win and a little help to make the 6th seed
The Bravos need a win and some help to get into the playoffs. They face off against the Galaxy in Frankfurt. If they win and either Paris (vs. Vienna) or the Fire (vs. Nordic Storm) lose, they will be in the playoffs.
Without that one of the league’s most exciting teams will be watching the post season.
Madrid Bravos Cheatsheet: Via Nils Rosjat (Head of Statistics)
Win, and max. one of PAR or RHF win → Wild Card
Frankfurt Galaxy (6-5): Win and pray for help
The Galaxy can make the playoffs with a win against Madrid, but they also need some help with either Paris beating Vienna or the Rhein Fire beating the Nordic Storm.
If they make the playoffs it will be an impressive turnaround for a team that was 2-5 at the midway point of the season.
