European League of Football provides more highlights: Sea Devils to play two home games at the Heinz von Heiden Arena in Hannover in 2024
The organizers of the European League of Football are keeping their word and bringing the "Champions League" of European football to the big stadiums more and more frequently in the 2024 season. It has now been confirmed that the Sea Devils will play two home games in the 49,000-capacity Heinz von Heiden Arena in the capital of Lower Saxony in cooperation with the traditional soccer club Hannover 96.
"When the league was founded, we clearly stated that we wanted to reach as many people as possible with this great sport and offer exceptional events. It makes us very proud that we are already able to keep this promise regularly in the regular season in our fourth year. But this is just the beginning, more highlights will follow," assures ELF Managing Director Zeljko Karajica.
The Sea Devils have stood out in this respect so far. In the 2023 season, they set the previous league attendance record in a clash with the eventual champions Rhein Fire in front of 32,500 spectators at the Volksparkstadion. On July 14, 2024, the "Seeteufel" will return to the HSV arena for another match. They will also play ELF home games at the wohninvest Weserstadion in Bremen and twice in Hannover.
"We are delighted that the European League of Football and the Sea Devils are making two stops at the Heinz von Heiden Arena. It is well known that the football community is also very strong in Lower Saxony, and we can hardly wait to welcome the northern German football family to our stadium. The Heinz von Heiden Arena is already known for its regular major concerts and great events outside of soccer - I am sure that we will experience a great atmosphere," says Markus Kalusche, Commercial Director at Hannover 96.
