ELF reaches milestone with three new strategic investors

ELF reaches milestone as Goal Line, 885 Capital, and Oakvale become shareholders

The European League of Football (ELF) is taking its international expansion to the next level by securing three new strategic investors: Goal Line Sports LLC (New York), 885 Capital Limited (Dubai), and Oakvale Ventures Limited LLC (London). As part of a successful capital raise, these partners bring not only financial backing but also extensive expertise in sports, media, technology, and finance - along with a strong global business network.

"We are proud to welcome Goal Line, 885, and Oakvale - three internationally respected investors who share our vision. Their involvement is a powerful signal for the future of the European League of Football and significantly strengthens our efforts to professionalise and further internationalize the league. This will undoubtedly accelerate our plans for expansion across Europe", said Zeljko Karajica, CEO of the European League of Football.

Meet the new investors:

  • GOAL LINE: David Gandler, Co-Founder and CEO of FuboTV, a leading U.S. streaming platform, is a pioneer in the digital sports and media space.
  • 885 CAPITAL: Sudeep Ramnani and Jai Mahtani are the founders of 885 Capital, an investment firm focused on sports, technology, and impact. The firm’s and founders’ portfolio includes next-generation leagues and teams redefining the future of sports, such as the PFL, Baller League, and Blue Crow.
  • OAKVALE: Sandford Loudon, Partner at Oakvale Capital LLP, brings in-depth experience in finance, sports tech, and strategic transactions across the sports and gaming sectors.

"ELF uniquely combines innovation, sports, and entertainment"

David Gandler commented: "The growth of the European League of Football in just five seasons is a clear signal of the sport’s momentum across the continent. With a potential market of over 500 million people and growing demand for American football, ELF is uniquely positioned to become one of Europe’s most dynamic and valuable leagues. I’m excited to be part of this journey."

Sudeep Ramnani added: "ELF uniquely combines innovation, sports, and entertainment. The passion and vision of the leadership team convinced us to back the league."

Sandford Loudon stated: "What excites me about ELF is the financial traction and rapid fan engagement the league has achieved - demonstrated by packed stadiums across Europe. This level of success is rare for an emerging league and shows tremendous long-term potential."

With new capital and strategic expertise onboard, the ELF is well-positioned to drive sustainable growth and further solidify its place in the European sports landscape.

Now in its fifth season, the European League of Football features 16 teams from 9 countries. A total of 101 games are broadcast via more than 20 media partners around the world - including in North America, South America, Africa, and Europe. Additionally, fans can follow every game live through the ELF Game Pass on DAZN.

This year’s Championship Game will take place on September 7, at Stuttgart’s MHP Arena and will feature a live performance by German hip-hop icons "Die Fantastischen Vier".
